Quality assurance
- Interpretation of source text
- Use of target language, in terms of grammar, spelling and punctuation
- Use of general vocabulary and technical terms
- Register and coherence of style
- Individual data and number formatting to suit target audience
- Consistency in terminology across the whole project
If required, I can comply with:
- Individual style guidelines
- Project formatting requirements
- Specific Terminology, Glossaries and Reference material
- Industry specific conventions such as HTML, CSS, XML, etc...
As standard, translations go through two levels of quality control. First,
during the initial translation and second, during proof reading and editing.
Proof reading is made both on screen and on paper in order to minimise
the risk of errors not detected by tools like Spell Checkers or Grammar
Structures.
This process was adopted as a result of experience, but more stringent
controls can be applied upon request. If required, I can arrange for further
levels of translation accuracy by independent editors and reviewers in
the specified subjects to ensure the current cultural context.
